Why Do We Need Green Barley
Acid. Our bodies tend to be acidic probably as a result of
consuming too much processed foods. Green
Barley is alkaline which works to balance our blood allowing our body’s natural healing processes
to ward off infection.
Salt. Most people eat too much salt. Green Barley is high in potassium which works to balance the sodium
in salt.
Meat. Meat is high in phosphorus and low in calcium. Green Barley is high in calcium and low
in phosphorus. This balance aids in the utilization of all minerals, leading to
stronger bones and muscles.
Pollutants. Many processed foods have unnatural
preservatives, chemicals and fillers which are toxic to our bodies. Green Barley is high in chlorophyll
which helps to neutralize and remove toxins from our body.
Cooked Food. Cooking and heat destroy enzymes. Green Barley is natural raw food with
thousands of live enzymes that aid in digestion and metabolism.
Drugs. Some medicines and drugs fight disease by killing
harmful bacteria. Green Barley
fights disease by strengthening the body. Strong bodies resist disease.

History of Use of Green Barley as Food
Barley has
been served as a food staple throughout history and is amazingly one of the
best sources of nutrients on Earth that the human body needs from birth until
old age. Research done by an agronomist shows the use of barley dates back to as
early as 8,000 B.C. and has been used by the Ancient Greeks, Romans, Chinese
and Egyptians. Roman Gladiators consumed barley as a source of energy and
strength while the Enslaved Egyptians consumed Barley Bread as their sole
sustenance. Barley was also used as a food staple in the late 16th
century Europe and was frequently mentioned in the Bible as being used by the
Hebrews and Egyptians.
In modern
times, it was discovered by the Chinese that animals being raised for their
organs and medicinal properties produced superior results when they were fed
barley leaves compared to being fed with dry feed.
In the 1980s,
Dr. Yasuo Hotta, a research professor at the University of California San Diego
discovered a special fraction in green barley juice which produces an
incredible stimulation in restoring cellular DNA. Dr. Hotta discovered that
these phytochemicals found in green barley contributed significantly to the
reparation of DNA. In his research, Dr. Hotta stressed that the substance
stimulating the DNA repair has been found only in significant amounts in green
barley leaves.
Green barley
juice has since been consumed for its many benefits to human health. Another
Japanese Pharmacologist, Dr. Hagiwara, conducted a series of case studies that
indicated that green barley juice contained constituent that increased strength
and motor activities in mice, had anti-ulcer
activity, contained anti-inflammatory proteins and lowers cholesterol. In
the 1990s the Diabetes Resource Center Inc., found that the dried juice from
organic green barley leaves was a beneficial food for those with type II
diabetes.
Why is Green Barley Effective in Combating Many Health Conditions and Diseases
Green barley
is natural and organic so there is no danger of overdose. Our barley is grown
from selected organic seeds at over 5,000 feet elevation in the mineral-rich
soil of an ancient volcanic lake bed. Our barley is irrigated by pure mineral
water and harvested at the peak of nutrition. Our barley is processed “on site”
and is guaranteed to be 100% pure green barley powder (dehydrated at 88F to
lock in nutritional potency).
Our green
barley powder contains no binders, fillers, sweeteners or additives of any kind
and truly organic and natural.
Green Barley
contains the following:
ENZYMES
Enzyme is
protein (or protein-based molecule) that speeds up a chemical reaction in a
living organism. It functions as a catalyst to enhance and dramatically speed
up biochemical reactions that occur in every one of our cells. It must be
present to ensure proper digestion of nutrients, energy production, metabolism
and transportation of fluid to cells and elimination of toxins among many other
functions.
They are only
activated in water, so staying hydrated is very important for enzymes to work
effectively. Enzymes exists only in raw and uncooked foods to help our body
breakdown what we eat. Since the majority of our diets are cooked foods, these
significantly limit the enzymes available in our food for digestion, thus
putting more stress on our digestive system. Without enzymes, life as we know
it would not exist because our cells would not get adequate nutrition and we
would not survive.
Superoxide Dismutase (SOD)
This is
sometimes referred to as anti-aging enzymes. The main function of this powerful
antioxidant is to remove toxic substances from our cells. Research has shown
that SOD can even restore function and repair DNA in older and less active
cells. These properties can lead to a reduced risk of cancer and other serious
diseases.
P4D1
These are
enzymes that can stimulate repair of the DNA molecule, produce good cells and
destroy cancer cells.
Peroxidase
This
isolates, breaks down and neutralizes Try-P1 and P2, a carcinogen found in
grilled meat and fish and 3-4 benzyperene and carcinogen in tobacco.
2’-O-glycosvisovitexin
This is a
water soluble substance that is more effective as an antioxidant than
beta-carotene or Vitamin E. It is very effective as an antioxidant than lipid
peroxidation caused by ultraviolet radiation.
Fatty Acid Oxidase, Cythochrome
Oxidase, Peroxidase Catalase & Transhydrogenase
These are
enzymes found in barley that help the decomposition of fats in the body.
Amino Acids, Vitamins and Minerals
Amino Acids
are the building blocks of protein; 20 of them are present in the body proteins
in significant quantity. Proteins are the major constituent of every cell and
body fluid (except urine and bile) and are thus necessary for the continual
cell building, regeneration and energy production that we need for life. An
added benefit of the green barley leaf
protein contain polypeptides, a protein that can be directly absorbed by
the blood, where they promote cell metabolism (the chemical changes based on
the need to live) and neutralize substances that are bad to our health.
18 amino
acids are found in barley grass
including the 8 essential amino acids that we must get from our diet because
the body cannot produce them on its own.
Extremely Alkaline and More
Green Barley leaves are extremely alkaline so digesting
them can help keep the body’s alkaline and acidity ration balanced. Our cells
cannot adequately function if the pH range (which measure acidity and alkaline)
is not in a narrow range. Most processed foods are acidic. When we consume too
many of these processed products, the acidity/alkaline balance is upset and
this results in possible fatigue.
Green Barley has Carotenoids, Flavonoids,
Phytochemicals and Phytonutrients. Barley is high in:
soluble fiber which helps metabolize fats,
cholesterol levels; and
insoluble fiber which promotes a healthy digestive
tract and reduces the risk of affecting it.

Chromium
This
increases the ability to insulin to bind cells and leads to increase insulin
sensitivity of the body tissue. This leads the body to get better and absorb
and use blood sugar. Chromium helps the insulin (travel guide) to get more
doors and soils, the that the travel guide uses to unlock our cells to the
blood sugar.
Vanadium
As early as
1899 it was found that a form of vanadium resulted in decrease in blood sugar
levels but it was not until the late 1970s that vanadium’s insulin-like action
was first described. Vanadium may activate insulin receptors—making the cell
more receptive to insulin’s “key”—and through this exert insulin-like action.
Organic Sodium
It dissolves
calcium deposits on the joints and replenishes organic sodium in the lining of
the stomach which aids digestion by improving the production of hydrochloric
acid in the stomach. People with arthritis have used celery juice for years
because of the organic sodium in Barley
Grass (775mg per 100 grams).
